A native Californian, Julia earned her BFA at Sonoma State University. Driven by a desire for technical mastery, she moved to New York City in 2021 to immerse herself in a four-year program at the prestigious Grand Central Atelier. Studying under esteemed artists like Jacob Collins and Colleen Barry, she developed a foundation in drawing and painting from life. Atelier training instilled a deep reverence for craftsmanship that extends from fine art to high fashion. Specializing in figurative oil painting, Julia places her subjects in a dreamy atmosphere and elegantly draped in haute couture garments.

Her paintings have gained national recognition, featured in numerous group exhibitions across the United States. Notably, her work was selected for the 2025 NSMA International Painting Competition at the New Salem Museum. Her distinct style has also earned critical acclaim, appearing on the cover of International Artist Magazine.
